MY FAMILY: I met my beautiful bride, Debbie, in 1979 and we were married in 1982. She is a retired Registered Nurse and loves to teach children. (Especially our eight grandkids!!)
 
HOBBIES and INTERESTS: I love to play golf, hunt and camp. I also serve as a volunteer fire fighter and chaplain with the fire service and local law enforcement. (Hence... the really cool Class B Uniform in the picture!) Debbie and I love to spend time with our family and friends, and we love to entertain people in our home.
 
EDUCATION: I have a BA in Bible and Speech from Tennessee Temple University (now Carolina University), a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke. I also hold several certifications in Critical Incident Stress Management and chaplaincy work. (But I am an avid UNC Tarheel basketball and Georgia Bulldog football fan!)
 
MY PASSION: I love to tell people about Jesus and help Christians be more prepared to do the same. I believe God has gifted me to teach and preach His Word. I believe the most engaging way to share your faith is through the relationships God gives you. You can't turn people into projects... but you do need to be ready to give a reason for the hope that you have in Christ Jesus.
