This is the "High Country." We are just minutes away from the two largest ski resorts in North Carolina and just around the bend from Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Boone, NC. The scenic beauty of this place reminds us daily of God's creative glory.
Lees McRae College is right here in our own town and Appalachian State University is less than thirty minutes away in Boone. Banner Elk is a preferred setting for many part-time residents who choose to make their home here during the pleasant summer months but also has a rich heritage of long time residents who love the land and welcome guests with open arms.
