Mt. Calvary sits at 3800 feet above sea level, which is why we call this the "High Country" of North Carolina. We are a family in Christ who are committed to following Jesus and believe our highest mandates are to follow the Great Commandment to Love God and Love People; and to obey the Great Commission to make disciples everywhere we go.

 

Banner Elk is just minutes away from the two largest ski resorts in North Carolina, and just around the bend from Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Boone, NC. The scenic beauty of this place reminds us daily of God's creative glory.

 

Lees-McRae College is just a mile down the road and Appalachian State University is less than thirty minutes away in Boone. Banner Elk is a preferred setting for many part-time residents who choose to make their home here during the pleasant summer months but also has a rich heritage of long time residents who love the land and welcome guests with open arms.
